In. Design Secrets Instructor I think most In. Design userswhove been using it for awhile are aware of Quick Apply,especially if youve watched anyof our In. Design Secrets videos here. Weve talked about Quick Apply quite often. And that is the little dialog box that opens up. If you choose Quick Apply from under the Edit menuor more likely youre pressing the wonderful keyboardshortcut CommandReturn on a Mac,or ControlEnter on Windows. And what that allows you to do is start typingthe name of any paragraph or character styleinstead of having to scroll through the panel menusand quickly apply it to wherever your cursoris blinking in the screen. Now what I want to show you in this videois that you can use Quick Applyto access Preferences as well. That is a wonderful thing,and let me show you why its so wonderful. First let me dismiss the Quick Apply dialog boxwithout actually applying anything. And to do that you just press the Escape key,and then Ill open up Preferences. Now on my Mac its under the In.
